You probably read somewhere that breakfast is the most important meal
of the day – you’ve probably heard this so much it’s now annoying.
Let’s face the fact – it’s true. Your breakfast sets you up for the
whole day – how much you eat, how well you feel, how much energy you
have, how sharp your focus is, blah blah blah – all is dependent on your
breakfast.
Directions: Add rolled oats to storage container. Mix in equal parts
of almond milk to rolled oats. Add scoop of Chocolate Whey Isolate
Protein. Add your choice of Zammex Collagen or Bone Broth powder. Slice
banana into small pieces and add to the oat mixture. Mix all ingredients
together, cover and refrigerate for at least four hours, preferably
overnight.

½ cup of diced strawberries
1 Scoop of Zammex Collagen or Bone Broth
Directions: Add rolled oats to storage container. Add equal parts of
almond milk to rolled oats. Mix in Greek yogurt (flavor of choice). Add

1 scoop of Zammex Collagen or Bone Broth
1 tablespoon of Virgin Coconut Oil
Ground Cinnamon (to your desired level)
Honey (to your desired level)
Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
All-Natural Peanut Butter
Directions: You will need a pot for the oats and a pan to cook the
apples. Dice the apples (you can skin them or not your call). Add the
apples to a pan with the coconut oil and some sprinkled cinnamon to your
desired level. Start cooking the chopped apple pieces down until they
look soft and darker. While doing this, start heating the oats, almond
milk, honey and Zammex product in a pot. You can add a little cinnamon
to this pot as well. Add oats to a bowl. Microwave some all-natural
peanut butter to make it liquid and drizzle on top if you wish.
Banana Bread Stove Top Oats
1-2 cups of rolled oats
1 banana
1 tbsp of vanilla extract
Raw honey (add to your desired sweetness level)
1 scoop of Zammex Collagen or Bone Broth
Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
Chopped pecans
All-natural peanut butter
Directions: You will just need one pot for this recipe. Add the oats,
a mashed banana (riper the better), vanilla extract, honey, Zammex and
almond milk to your desired level of consistency (more if you like a
wetter version, less if you like a drier, cakier oats. Heat and stir
consistently for about 10 minutes so oats cook, all is mixed well, and
the almond milk has evaporated a bit. Pull off the stove and add to a
bowl. Microwave peanut butter to give it a liquid consistency – drizzle
on top. Add pecans and enjoy.

30-35 minutes until edges are set and golden brown. After removing from
oven, allow bake to sit and cool for 15 minutes before cutting into.

later!
Why MCT Oil Powder Plays an Important Role in a Keto Diet?
Ketogenic diets have been around for longer than you think. The Atkins Diet gained public attention in 1972 and since then we’ve seen the likes of the Paleo Diet, South Beach Diet and more. While these diets technically fit under the category “keto” a true ketogenic diet focuses on fat consumption as fat can make up close to 90% of total calorie intake. If you’re reading this, you’re probably already well-versed on what a ketogenic diet is, what it does and what’s required to successfully execute it. If you’re still not 100% sure feel free to read this summary from Harvard Health Publishing.
Let’s take it a step further – Zammex Nutrition produces one of the top MCT Oil Powders in the industry right now. There are tons of benefits for taking MCT Oil Powder (check out our blog), but when you’re adhering to a strict keto diet – MCT Oil is your partner in crime.
MCT stands for Medium Chain Triglyceride – Triglycerides are fats. There are Long Chain which are found in some tasty (and unhealthy) foods (often stored as fat) and then there are Medium Chain which are “fractionated” from coconut oil or palm kernel oil. The MCTs are your friend when it comes to being on a ketogenic diet – Why?
They are a readily available source of energy as your body processes them quite efficiently and does not store them. This is a key point as your body transitions to burning fat for energy and producing ketones – which I’m sure you’ve heard the word “ketosis”
Supplementing MCT Oil Powder has been shown to increase the body’s ability to burn fat as a primary energy source.
If you’re burning fat and you’re supplementing a product that helps to burn fat – guess what – you can lose weight – YAY!
Ultimately, if you’re on a low-carb diet or not MCT Oil powder is worth supplementing because of its many health benefits that go beyond a readily available source of energy. It also helps with cognitive function, fights inflammation due to antioxidant properties, improves cardiovascular health, curbs hunger and increases energy. However, if you’re on or about to embark on a ketogenic diet, we strongly suggest you use MCT Oil from the sheer fact that you metabolize it quickly and supports the production of ketones, which are vital for you to stay in ketosis. Throw the other benefits in there and it’s a win-win!
Technically speaking Bone Broth is what it says it is (especially
Zammex’s!). It can be made from any animal with bones because the bones
are the key to unlocking some powerful nutrients that have strong
health benefits. Aren’t you the slightest bit curious as to why every
depiction of a caveman is a guy who looks like he spends 6 days a week
in the gym?
Bone Broth Protein isn’t a magical muscle elixir, but it has some serious health benefits you should know about:
Alleviates Joint Pain & Promotes Healthy Bones – Bone Broth is
one of the world’s best sources of natural collagen and gelatin in the
world. As we discussed in our previous blog, collagen is the glue that
holds your body together and is vital for cartilage and ligament
health. It also supports your bone structure, which as we know starts
to weaken as we age.
Boosts you Immune System – There’s a massive immune system benefit
when you consume Bone Broth. This directly ties into the restorative
impact it has on your digestive system. The term “leaky gut” sounds
horrible, but it’s real and may be hurting you without you knowing.
Bone Broth seals leaky gut so bacteria and toxins aren’t released into
the blood stream and ultimately promotes a healthy digestive system.
This in turn helps you detoxify and balance your system to maximize the efficiency of antioxidants Healthy Skin, Hair and Nails – This is consistently documented
throughout our products, but Bone Broth is no different in that is
helps rejuvenate skin, regrow hair and firm up nails that are becoming
brittle and chipping.
Protein Powder Plus – There is a ton of literature out there that
talks about the many positive impacts on Bone Broth, but it needs to be
said that you’re getting 20g of pure protein here. For those of you
who are training and supplementing protein to recover, rebuild and
strengthen – why not take Bone Broth? Not only does it have 20g of
protein and strong amino acid profile you get all these other benefits
that products like whey don’t offer.
Our message at Zammex about our products is simple. In fact, one of our mottos is “Health Made Simple”. Our Bone Broth Protein Powder is no different, it’s one ingredient – the one ingredient that counts – Hydrolyzed Bone Broth Protein.
That’s all you get with all this goodness -Pasture Raised, Grass-Fed,

kidding – Purity Realized… Health Made Simple. It’s easy to see on

If you peruse any of our social media you see a lot of images of
coffee and a scoop of collagen. It’s time to explain that these aren’t
just fancy lifestyle photos for you coffee drinkers. There’s a reason
why coffee and collagen are often seen together on our platform – it’s
because together they are a powerful duo for your health and wellness
journey.
So now you’re saying, “Yeah, I know the health benefits of Collagen.
I’ve read your blogs, I’ve Googled the benefits. But why coffee?” Well,
the answer really isn’t “coffee” in particular – it’s caffeine. Have a
look –
Antioxidant & Potential Reduction of Diseases like Certain Cancers
Reduces Chronic Inflammation
There is an odd, unexpected, yet beautiful synergy between caffeine
and collagen. Above are just a few benefits – both caffeine and collagen
have many more proven benefits to them than just those five.
Ultimately, when you put the two together you give your health and
wellness program a super-boost. Improved performance and focus, weight
management, immune health and wellness – Why wouldn’t you start your day
with a cup of coffee and a scoop of one of Zammex’s Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides!
If you’re like many people, you were introduced to the word collagen many years ago because some celebrity received collagen injections in their lips or elsewhere and ultimately ended up looking, well, different. In a way, it got the public’s general relationship with collagen off on the wrong foot. Why? Because collagen is so much more than that. It’s not just some beauty product reserved for the super-wealthy you see on reality television…
Let’s start with the basics, what is the largest organ in the human body? Tricky question. The answer is – the skin. According to Live Science, the skin accounts for about 16% of your total body weight and covers 22 square feet. We could go on forever about the skin, but to keep it short and sweet just look at your own. It does more things than we probably realize. It senses pain and touch, produces sweat and oil, grows hair (in some places we aren’t too keen on sometimes), brings blood to skin to nourish and regulate body temperature and fights infection. Cue collagen, the mortar that holds the bricks together. Collagen is the most abundant protein found in your body and is actually called the glue that holds your body together. It’s the major component of connective tissue and maintains the structure and integrity of your skin, muscle tissue.
Everything You Need to Know About Collagen
Clearly, collagen is a big deal, but let’s talk about why you’re about to supplement it using Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides from Zammex Nutrition.
1) Ease Joint and Knee Pain – This has nothing to do with being an athlete or just an everyday person getting older by the day. In a study published by the National Center for Biotechnology Information, supplementation of collagen showed to improve and support joint health and reduce the risk of joint deterioration.
2) Improve Skin Elasticity – Attention ladies (and men)! There are proven studies that show women between ages 35 and 55 observed noticeable differences in skin elasticity after supplementing collagen for just 8 weeks. The impact of the supplementation proved to be more dramatic the older the test subject (as collagen production declines with age).
3) Hair and Nail Growth – If you’re starting to notice you’re breaking your nails more often and they are slower to grow back – the good news is collagen supplementation has your back on this one as well. The Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology says that collagen will improve nail growth, decrease percent of broken nails and improve formerly brittle nails. The same can be said about hair as dermatologist contend you will see improved hair regrowth and hair health.
4) Brain Health – Scientists have learned more and more that neurons in the brain are rich in collagen. By increasing your collagen intake, you can protect your brain against amyloid-beta proteins, which are believed to be one of the causes of Alzheimer’s. These proteins result in a form of plaque that is typically found on Alzheimer’s patients’ brains.
5) Heart Health – A buildup of plaque in your arteries over the years puts your health in great danger. It could lead to heart attack and stroke. It’s easy to think that this isn’t you. You eat healthy and exercise – I don’t need to worry about something like this. The truth of the matter is you may not, however knowing that collagen supplementation reduces cholesterol and can prevent and treat the build up of plaque in the arteries according to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute is another benefit of collagen supplementation we’ll gladly reap!
We’ve outlined the benefits of using our Hydrolyzed Collagen product, but we didn’t discuss why to use our Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides.
Zammex Nutrition’s core principal is “Purity Realized”. All our products are derived from natural sources and treated with the utmost care. We believe that our consumers should know exactly what they are getting and nothing more. In our previous blog, we highlighted the importance of the source of the collagen. Our raw materials ALWAYS come from grass-fed, pasteurized bovine. If you do decide to supplement collagen, it’s imperative you find this callout. Once that box is checked, let’s move to other important features.
1) Our Collagen Peptides are hydrolyzed using a unique enzyme process. Why is hydrolysis important? Simple. What’s easier to absorb, something large or something small? Our hydrolysis process not only makes the peptide chain smaller for more efficient absorption it also makes our product ultimately odorless and taste-free.
2) Granulation vs. Powder – This one might slip past the average consumer, but for a product that you’re mixing with something you want it to dissolve well and not clump. Our product is uniquely granulated which makes it heavier. This allows it to drop in liquid and while it drops it absorbs. If you’ve ever used fine powder it floats on the surface and clumps. You can consume Zammex Collagen Peptides in just about anything and never know it’s there!
3) Some other fine points to call out:
a. Our collagen has ZERO fat, sugar, gluten, cholesterol and is GMO-free
b. We ensure every single product is 3rd party tested and is produced under GMP standards
We appreciate you taking the time to read out blog and getting reacquainted with collagen. It’s come a long way from puffy lips! Time to get your own!
